In this two-day SAFe for Teams course, participants from teams within an Agile Release Train (ART) will gain valuable insights into working effectively within an Agile environment. The course covers key Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and XP. Participants will acquire the skills needed to transform into Agile Teams, effectively manage their backlog, and successfully plan and execute iterations.
Teams will gain a deep understanding of their role within the ART and how to collaborate with other teams. The course also equips them to prepare for and execute a Program Increment (PI), encompassing all the essential meetings at both the Team and Program levels. Special emphasis is placed on preparing for the upcoming PI planning session, ensuring teams are well-prepared for this critical event.

All individuals are encouraged to participate in the course, irrespective of their experience level. However, it is strongly advised that those planning to pursue the SAFe® Practitioner (SP) certification exam meet the following recommended prerequisites:
• Understanding of Agile concepts and principles
• Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, and XP methodologies
• Proficiency in software and hardware development processes
Upon successfully passing the certification exam, participants will be granted the following:
• SAFe Practitioner certificate
• A digital badge as a recognition of SAFe 6 Practitioner certification, which can be shared online
• One-year certified membership in the SAFe Practitioner community, facilitating access to the SP Community of Practice
• A guide outlining the usage of SAFe Practitioner certification marks
• Access to a diverse array of learning materials and resources to aid certified professionals on their SAFe journey
Upon successfully completing this course, you will gain access to the certification exam and all relevant study materials through your Learning Plan in the SAFe Community Platform.
Here are the details of the certification exam:
• Exam name – SAFe® 6 Practitioner Exam
• Exam format – Multiple choice (single answer) or multiple select (2-3 answers)
• Exam delivery – Web-based (single-browser), closed book, no external assistance, timed
• Exam access – Candidates can access the exam within the SAFe Community Platform upon completing the SAFe® for Teams course
• Exam duration – Once the exam begins, candidates will have 90 minutes (1.5 hours) to complete it
• Number of questions – 45
• Passing score – A minimum of 35 correct answers out of 45 (77%)
• Language – The exam is available in English
• Exam cost – The first exam attempt is included as part of the course registration fee if the exam is taken within 30 days of course completion. Subsequent retake attempts cost $50 each.
• Retake policy – The second attempt on the exam (first retake) can be taken immediately after the first attempt. A 10-day waiting period is required for the third attempt, and a 30-day wait is needed for the fourth attempt.
